Notions-Drye Goods Studio Diary

Thanks for checking in. I am a fiber artist. My current emphasis is on eco printing and other wildcraft with a touch of up-cycling thrown in. You can also catch up with me on Facebook at Drye Goods Studio.

Happy Sunday

"Put your ear down close to your soul and listen hard."

Anne Sexton

I saw this log the other day while walking the cat. I have been trying to listen hard to see what the next steps are, which is probably why this looked like an ear to me. Anyway, not much news to report just yet. This post is mostly to see how the email sign up went, let me know if you get it. The first one it seemed took about 24-30 hours for people to receive, which was about the same as before. The arrowleaf balsamroot is up and blooming and the spotted knapweed isn't far behind, so yellow scarves will be next thing on the list.

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely Sunday.

Happy Earth Day

"Spend the afternoon, you can't take it with you."

Annie Dillard

This is just to let you know that there is finally a way to sign up to recieve this blog as an email. It took me a while-I'm slow these days-but steady!

If you are looking at this on a mobile device I believe you have to view the browser version of the blog (at the bottom of the page there might be an option to click on?) and once there the box to sign up is on the righthand side of the page.

Not much else to report. I am planning a couple of classes for the Spokane Art School this summer and probably a few others. All info about that will appear here, so there's a reason to sign up! If you are on my Mailchinp list it will of course be sent out there as well. And yes, I will be trying to figure out some sort of link for that as well.

Since last summer was total chaos with my husband having a stroke, I am not planning on doing any shows or fairs until September as I didn't get enough made so my work will be available at Pottery Place Plus and my Etsy shop. If you want the best selection of buttons and pendants you may want to go the Etsy site soon. I had to open up time in my day so I am on a ceramics hiatus for the foreseeable future. The shop will slowly switch to mostly eco printing; either wearables or fabric. There is still a great selection of buttons to choose from.

This is one of my favorite places along the Spokane River. It's called Donkey Island. As to why it is called that I have never met anybody that knows. It is only an island for a short time when the snow melts, the rest of the time it is a peninsula.
