Notions-Drye Goods Studio Diary

Thanks for checking in. I am a fiber artist and designer. My currant emphasis is on eco printing and other wildcraft with a touch of up-cycling thrown in. You can also catch up with my wanderings on my Facebook page Drye Goods Studio.

The Studio is beginning to fill up once again!

This is the wall of the unwashed. We will hang out together until mid February, then I will have a lot of laundry to do!

Do they always "turn out right"?

Well, depends on what you mean by "right". Some scarves that come out beautiful on one end, but almost blank on the other can be done over. In the case of the fabric above, the coloring was lovely but the overall effect was not so great. When cut into strips the potential came back. I did these flowers with some of them and saved a few larger pieces for future projects.

Happy New Year!

I hope how I spend today guides the rest of my year. I slept in, cleaned my house and took a walk. While sleeping late all the time is not recommended sometimes one needs to get some rest. I will never be accused of being a neat nick, but the basics are always good. Being outside does me a world of good. Spring will soon be here and the collecting can start again. In the meantime here is photo of what I have done this fall and winter.
